1 Irish Herbal Roots Lisa Guinan is a fully qualified and registered Naturopathic Herbalist with many years experience in teaching people about medicinal plants and how to use them for health. County Clare is thriving with an abundance of wild plants and herbs that have been used to make traditional medicines and cures since ancient times. Irish Herbal Roots will take you on a journey, bringing to life the fascinating Art of plant medicine. Herb walks (outdoor) Herb walks take place in the Burren or surrounding area and consist of a walk in Nature with specific attention drawn to medicinal plants and flowers along the way. Folklore, traditional cures and modern medicinal uses will be woven into the tale of each wild herb and flower, bringing them to life whilst also glimpsing insights into traditional Irish culture. 2 Flora in the Burren In a landscape where Arctic and Alpine flowers grow surprisingly alongside Mediterranean species and where something is always in bloom you would be forgiven for thinking it’s a botanists paradise. The Burren National Park provides public access to this special natural landscape and offers a free bus service around the park during the summer months.
